The thorough and strict testing, certification and auditing process set by Exova that gives us the confidence and our customers the reassurance that everything we manufacture is up to industry standards and will perform as needed in the event of a fire. We have recently just passed this year’s audit but we will continue to try and improve our internal processes wherever we can.

Flexible Layouts

With more and more employees taking on varied roles within businesses, more often than not a dedicated desk and pc isn’t sufficient to undertake all the types of tasks they need to carry out. Introducing flexible working areas into an office can allow staff to move around more and choose a space which will allow them to get on with the task in hand. This could be as simple as a break out areas for informal meetings and a quick catch up with team members. It could be multifunctional and easy interchangeable office furniture allowing staff to easily configure the space to meet there needs for the short term. Soft wiring is a simple installation method which allows rewiring and extending data connection points in order to configure a space in a more semi permanent way without effecting other areas of the office. It could even be as simple as replacing your desks with sit/stand alternatives.

Integrated Technology

Workspaces and break out areas with integrated technology are on the increase in all areas of interior fit out. With wireless connectivity being integrated into more and more devices, charging points are becoming more of a necessity. with Starbank’s very own Connected Surfaces technology we are able to integrate wireless charging into most furniture pieces, from desks to coffee tables, side tables and shelves. with the industrial interior trend giving no sign of slowing down, raw, textured decors have been emerging from almost all the major laminate producers.

IMI Beton have gone one step further by integrated real concrete with laminate to form a lightweight 1.5mm thick decorative sheet. They are available in an array of colours, textures, patinas, and even materials as they include metallic, stone and brick designs. Machining on standard woodworking machinery we have been able to create decorative panels for our customer using IMI Beton’s formwood design. This real concrete design will portray the look of a formwood cast concrete wall, once installed.

We are really impressed with the panels, although slightly trickier to fabricate to ensure the highest of quality, we have been able to manage the 300 plus panels with ease.

We have machined specially commissioned Corian® Textura Panels from CD (UK) Ltd, the exclusive distributor of DuPont™ Corian® being machined on our 5 Axis Homag BMG 512. These panels will be on display, backlit, on the CD (UK) stand at the Surface Design Show – 9th-11th Feb 2016, showing the amazing diversity of DuPont™ Corian for interior design and fit out applications. We have seen a glimpse of what the display will look like and have a feeling a lot of people will be stopping to take a closer look! Our design, CAD, programming and machining teams have worked hard to bring together CD (UK) vision for their display. Glacier white was the choice of Corian® used as it’s translucent properties make it the perfect choice for backlighting. This style of feature works excellently for making an impression within any commercial interior.
