As a company Starbank recognise the importance of environmental considerations and as such are committed to the long-term protection of the world’s natural forests where possible.

It is the policy of this company to avoid using wood that has been illegally harvested; genetically modified, sourced where civil rights are violated or originating from uncertified high conservation old growth forests.

Wood and wood based panel products are the ultimate sustainable and recyclable materials as they require low energy consumption to process and are also thermally efficient in use.

Starbank operates a very high quality DCS Nordfab NFK 2000 extraction and filter plant with certification to the very latest ATEX European Directives
for dust control which ensures peace of mind for our staff and our neighbours.

The company is also active in external recycling of wood based panels.

Starbank is proud to operate under a certificated Environmental Management System with BM Trada to ISO 14001:2004.
