Edgebanding

General Overview

Edgebanding technology has come a long way, certainly from the days of iron on edgings. Here at Starbank with our state of the art edgebanding technology we can accommodate all your needs with ease, whether it is high volume production runs to smaller batch quantities. We have the technology to fabricate panel edges to a variety of finish, size and material, by utilising the very latest Homag edgeband technology. This technology employed ensures that we remain at the forefront of customer requirements with the ability to edge panels in ABS from 12mm up to 60mm thick* and in widths from 0.8mm to 3mm.

As a company we have moved away from PVC as the stable material of choice to a more environmentally friendly - ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) - which is recycled on site. This type of material reflects our commitment to the future of the environment.

Edging Material Options

We can offer panel edges fabricated with, 1mm, 2mm or 3mm ABS (Plain colours, Patterns and Woodgrains) from Dollken & Rehau

• High pressure laminate edging
• Acrylic multiplex 3D designs
• Veneer edgeband (Multi layer as an option)
• A choice of solid Hardwoods up to 20mm in thickness

Edging Options

We have single and double sided Edgebanding lines enabling high speed, high quality production onto Melamine Faced Chipboard, Melamine Faced MDF, Door blanks ( Using Halspan ), Laminated Chipboard, MDF or Plywood and even Solid Grade Laminates. Panels are pre-milled for a quality finish.
