PEFC (Pan European Forest Certification)Chain of custody certification provides a guarantee about the production of FSC or PEFC certified components. Chain-of-custody is the path taken by raw materials from the forest to the consumer, including all successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution. From a customer perspective, the FSC or PEFC Chain represents a promise that is being made to them. Chain of custody standards are the mechanism either the FSC & PEFC bodies have to ensure that the ‘promise’ is delivered. * Only operations that have been independently verified for FSC or PEFC chain of custody certification are eligible to label their products with the logos. |

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international organisation that brings people together to find solutions which promote responsible stewardship of the world’s forests. Both the PEFC & FSC are third party certificated through BM Trada. The chain provides us with a traceable procurement, fabrication and distribution system for wood based panel products and certified hardwoods currently used to supply the Office, Leisure and allied furniture industries. The monitored system enables Starbank to source raw materials which can be traced back through the supply chain to the manufacturing process. |
